I wanted to be in control of my life and not let dialysis control it. I needed to put a plan together so I can maintain my lifestyle while doing dialysis. I need my life life to stay as normal as possible….

Great two weeks before Christmas and I have to get a catheter in my neck so I could start dialysis immediately. I show up at the hospital ready for anything on the outside but terrified on the inside.

The doctors did a biopsy to try and determine what was the cause of my kidney failure. This I thought was a great Idea for I might get some closure by finding out what caused this. They came back to me two days later with the result that they had no clue how this happened as the damage to the kidneys was so far advanced.
